Goodbye To The Lowrey Organ and Leslie Speaker ....

It was not played enough at my house.Hope the new people out these to good use.Another chapter gone. This was my Aunt Emmy's Organ. When she played it, she sounded so good. But, the organ had a haunting in it. It was fun to show that to people but now I have some space back in the great room again.

"13"

Oh Happy Day .... I am officially retired 6-7-13..... 6+7=13 year is 13
I got $13.13 back as change for lunch at the AZRS building.
There were 13's in my $dollar figures on my retirement papers.

I was born Friday the 13th.
My doctors are HMO doctors .... cheaper health plan but coverage.. YES!
I also have medicare A and B... geez, I'm "OLD"

I know this doesn't make sense to anyone else.... but this is how I see it.....

Not everything with this retirement has been going my way. If there was a stumbling block to slow the process down, I found it. I had to get help to prove I was a citizen. I had al kinds of papers that I located and proof and we finally got that taken care of last week. In fact they said I should have my SS card in about 2 weeks. It was cleared on Thursday and I got the card on Monday....wow!

I finally was able to go to Phoenix today. I hate driving in Phoenix and on the freeways....

Well, no one was going with me so I did say a humbling prayer before I left and asked to be safe and to know I am doing everything correctly with the retirement papers. Dental and health will transition the same day I loose my old coverage.

Everything turned out for the best! I had the sweetest people helping me today. These 13 figures came up in the agents office and he said that sounded like a good luck charm.... But I feel it was an answer to my prayer and I am thankful in return.

Last School Days

This comes with bitter sweet feelings, but I am looking forward to go on with another part of my life. I just pray that my issues with SS and Immigration can be resolved quickly. Proving that I am a citizen of the USA, which I definitely am !!!!! has become a major hurdle that I need to address at this time when everything should move forward smoothly and I could devote my time to service and a bit of rest and my summer fiddling.... . In my teaching these last few weeks I tried to make it as fun as possible. MEMORIES are Important! Balloon Volleyball in other words, "stuck in the mud!" Dancing to the different styles of dancing as in the story of Giraffe's Can't Dance. Playing Boom Whackers, watching Music Movies "Peter and the Wolf" and "They Shall Have Music" featuring Joshua Heifetz. And YES the kids enjoyed the movie. Kindergarten Celebration of Learning Program, Power House and being a judge. Cleaning out files and cabinets that were long overdue to clean... 1 blue can and 5 the Big rolling grey cans were full. Clean room, met the new teacher and I could leave with good conscience all my good Carl Orff Method Book and supplimentals such as music games and activities and music teacher books and other equipment knowing they will be used.
