Music fills the air

School Chorus is back in the swing of things and I have almost 100 children singing. Now if I could have more than 10-16 people at church choir I would really Sing!
Singing can lift your mood. So........
SING

by Karen Carpenter

Sing, sing a song
Sing out loud
Sing out strong
Sing of good things not bad
Sing of happy not sad.
Sing, sing a song
Make it simple to last
Your whole life long
Don't worry that it's not
Good enough for anyone
Else to hear
Just sing, sing a song.
Sing, sing a song
Let the world sing along
Sing of love there could be
Sing for you and for me.
Sing, sing a song
Make it simple to last
Your whole life long
Don't worry that it's not
Good enough for anyone
Else to hear
Just sing, sing a song.

Life is an Adventure.... \Sunday thoughts

Life is an Adventure
The Road is not always smooth and sometimes brings unexpected bumps!!!
This picture was taken Feb 22, 2008 on the Beeline Highway
Life is an Adventure…
I was driving home the other night and I saw these words on a big sign on the side of the road. It made me laugh because I too was caught up in feeling overwhelmed with life’s problems. Every day something new is happening. Each day no matter where I am or who I talk to, young and old alike, they are all dealing with things that they had not planned on happening.
I see each one of my children and their families encounter frustrations over something other than what they had planned in their lives.
I’m not any different, I have my set of challenges, but I feel the most important thing to deal with these adventures is to remember we are children of our Heavenly Father and He loves us all very much and wants us all to return to Him someday.
“If the Savior Stood beside me” Leslie used the words of this song in her talk today.. The Activity girls sang it during my ward’s Sacrament meeting. I guess if we remember that the Savior is standing beside us we can have a peaceful feeling. With the Savior at our side I am trying to work on these qualities… Try it you might like it, too!
Be Positive
Be Happy
Be Prayerful
Be Loving and Kind
Be Thankful for the little things
Be BraveBe Honest and Trustworthy
Be Loyal
Mend differences, tomorrow never comes it is always today and now.
Give someone a HUG
Say something nice to someone

Blessings

Today is Sunday and my thought will be short but hopefully sweet!
I hope all my sons and my son in law who have children will take their children before they go to school and give them a Priesthood blessing to help them have a happy and productive year in school. Don't forget your wives, they surely could use a blessing also for being their mom, as well as to be able to help the children to prepare spiritually for another year of their learning experience. I am grateful for the Priesthood here upon the earth and since I don't have a Priesthoood holder in my home I am ever so greatful I have a good hometeacher that was willing to give me a blessing today so that I may have the "right spirit" with me to teach those young people in my care at school and my grandchildren.
Let's as a family love the Lord and Hevenly Father, by reading the scriptures, pray often, go to church, have family home evenings, pay our tithing and love our family and friends and neighbors.
Please read President Monson's message for August and do something good "Today" and every day of your life... Tomorrow never comes it is always "today"!
Don't have any regrets....
Love MOM
